Terms of Service
Effective 1 September 2026 · Clay & Beyond is operated by Sasvat Kalp Pvt Ltd, Shop 14, Rivera Arcade, 100 Feet Rd, near Prahlad Nagar, Prahlad Nagar, Ahmedabad, Gujarat 380015.
These Terms govern your use of our website, your visits to our studio, your participation in our experiences and events, and your purchases from our shop. By booking, visiting, purchasing, or using this website, you agree to these Terms. If you are booking on behalf of others (including minors), you confirm you have their authority — or parental/guardian authority — to accept these Terms for them.
1. Bookings & Payment
Bookings on our website are requests: seats are held when you submit a request, and every booking is confirmed personally by our team (usually on WhatsApp). No online payment is taken at the time of request. Prices shown online are indicative; the total confirmed by our team is the amount payable. Payment is made at the studio or as agreed at confirmation. We may decline or cancel a request at our discretion, including for capacity, scheduling, or safety reasons — in that case anything you have already paid for that booking is refunded in full.
2. Cancellations & Rescheduling
Plans change — tell us as early as you can. Cancellations or reschedule requests made at least 24 hours before your session are accommodated free of charge, subject to slot availability. For cancellations within 24 hours, or no-shows, we may retain any amount paid or require payment for materials already prepared. If we cancel a session (illness, equipment, festival hours, force majeure), you choose between a full refund and a reschedule. Bookings made through third-party platforms are additionally subject to that platform's terms.
3. Studio Participation & Assumption of Risk
Hands-on art involves inherent risks: sharp tools, hot equipment (including kilns and heat guns), rotating machinery (pottery wheels, tufting guns), dyes, resins, and other materials that can stain, irritate skin, or cause injury if misused. By participating you agree to follow instructor guidance and studio safety rules at all times; to disclose relevant allergies, sensitivities, medical conditions, or pregnancy before the session; to wear appropriate clothing (we are not responsible for staining or damage to clothing or personal items); and to supervise any minors you bring — children participate under the responsibility of their accompanying adult. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you participate at your own risk, and we are not liable for injury or loss arising from failure to follow instructions or from risks inherent to the activity. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
4. Artwork, Firing & Collection
Handmade art is unpredictable — that is its charm. Results vary, and processes like kiln firing carry a genuine risk of cracking or breakage that is outside anyone's control; we do not guarantee the outcome of any piece and offer no refund for pieces lost to normal process risk (we will, where practical, offer a goodwill re-make session or firing). Finished pieces must be collected within 30 days of being ready — we will remind you, but pieces uncollected after 60 days may be disposed of or displayed.
5. Shop Purchases
Every piece in our shop is handmade: minor variations in colour, texture, size, and finish are characteristics, not defects, and photographs are indicative. Purchases are concluded personally (typically via WhatsApp) — availability is confirmed at that time. Please inspect pieces at pickup; for deliveries, damage in transit must be reported within 48 hours with photographs for a repair, replacement, or refund. Limited-edition pieces are sold as the specific numbered edition described. Nothing in this section limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
6. Independent Artists
Some pieces and services offered through Clay & Beyond are created or provided by independent artists who are not our employees or agents. For those items, we act as a venue and facilitator: the artist is responsible for the originality and accuracy of their work and claims. We moderate what appears on our platform but do not guarantee artist-made items or services beyond your statutory rights. Artists are bound by our Artist Terms.
7. Your Creations & Our Content
What you make in a session is yours. Everything else — our name, logo, website content, photographs, and designs — belongs to Sasvat Kalp Pvt Ltd and may not be reproduced commercially without permission. We love sharing studio moments: we may photograph sessions for our gallery and social media, and we will respect any request not to be photographed — just tell the team at your session.
8. Accounts & Acceptable Use
Keep your account credentials safe; you are responsible for activity under your account. Do not misuse the website — no scraping, probing, false bookings, or content that is unlawful, infringing, or abusive. We may suspend accounts or refuse service for misuse.
9. Reviews & Testimonials
By sharing a review or testimonial with us, you allow us to display it (with your first name and photo where provided) on our website and marketing. Ask us any time to take yours down.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law: we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses; our total liability to you for any claim connected with a booking or purchase is limited to the amount you paid us for that booking or purchase; and we are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under Indian law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
11. Privacy
We collect the details you give us (name, phone, email, booking information) to run your bookings, respond to enquiries, and — if you subscribe — send occasional updates. We do not sell your personal data. Write to us at hello@claynbeyond.com to access or delete your information.
12. General
These Terms are governed by the laws of India; courts at Ahmedabad, Gujarat have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any consumer-forum rights you hold. If any clause is held unenforceable, the rest continue in force. We may update these Terms from time to time — the version on this page applies from its effective date.
