Artist Terms

Effective 1 September 2026 · Clay & Beyond is operated by Sasvat Kalp Pvt Ltd, Shop 14, Rivera Arcade, 100 Feet Rd, near Prahlad Nagar, Prahlad Nagar, Ahmedabad, Gujarat 380015. These terms apply in addition to our Terms of Service.

These Artist Terms apply when you apply to join the Clay & Beyond collective, and to everything you submit through the Artist Studio — art pieces for sale and service listings. By applying or submitting, you agree to them.

1. Independent Relationship

You are an independent artist. Nothing in these terms creates employment, agency, partnership, or joint venture between you and Sasvat Kalp Pvt Ltd. You are responsible for your own taxes, registrations, insurance, and compliance with applicable law.

2. Applications, Approval & Suspension

Joining the collective is at our discretion, and approval may be withdrawn at any time (for example for breach of these terms, quality or safety concerns, or conduct that could harm the studio's reputation). While approved, your profile (name, photo, art forms, location, approved services, and Instagram if provided) may be displayed on our website. Your contact details are never published.

3. Submissions & Moderation

Everything you submit is reviewed before it appears publicly, and we may accept, edit (including pricing display, titles, and descriptions), or decline any submission at our discretion, without obligation to give reasons. You warrant that every piece and service you submit is your own original work or that you hold all rights needed to sell or offer it; that your descriptions and claims (materials, techniques, food-safety, edition sizes) are accurate; and that nothing you submit infringes any third party's intellectual property or other rights.

4. Sales of Art Pieces

Pieces you submit for sale are offered through our shop on a consignment basis unless we agree otherwise in writing. Commission rates, settlement timelines, delivery of pieces to the studio, and return of unsold pieces are agreed in a separate written schedule with each artist — ask the team for your current schedule. Until sold, pieces remain your property; you bear risk of loss except where damage is caused by our negligence while a piece is in our custody. We may photograph pieces for listing and promotion.

5. Services & Workshops

Approved service listings are displayed on our website; enquiries are coordinated through the studio. When you conduct a workshop or service at or through Clay & Beyond, you agree to follow studio safety rules and supervise participants appropriately; to hold any skills, qualifications, or permissions your service requires; and to conduct yourself professionally. We may set or approve pricing, schedules, and participant limits for activities held at our studio.

6. Your Responsibility (Indemnity)

You are responsible for claims arising from your works and services. You agree to indemnify Sasvat Kalp Pvt Ltd against third-party claims, losses, and reasonable costs arising from infringement of intellectual property by your submissions, from inaccurate claims you made about your works, or from your negligence or misconduct in providing services — except to the extent caused by our own negligence.

7. Content Licence

You retain ownership of your works and images. You grant Sasvat Kalp Pvt Ltd a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, photograph, and promote your listed works, profile, and services on our website, social media, and marketing, for as long as you are part of the collective and for a reasonable period afterwards for archival content (e.g. past-event posts).

8. Termination

Either of us may end the relationship at any time by written notice (email is fine). On termination we remove your live listings and profile within a reasonable time; completed sales are settled per your schedule; clauses that by nature survive (warranties, indemnity, licence for archival content, governing law) survive.

9. General

We may update these Artist Terms; continued use of the Artist Studio after an update is acceptance. These terms are governed by the laws of India, with courts at Ahmedabad, Gujarat having exclusive jurisdiction. Questions: hello@claynbeyond.com.
